The EAA 890 Christmas party will be at John & Joyce Myer's new hanger at the Flying M Ranch near Gaylesville, AL. The festivities are planned to begin at 6:30 EST, 5:30 CST on Friday, December 11th. This is the day before our next regularly scheduled meeting on 12/12/09. We will be joined by EAA 706, Rome, Georgia for the Christmas Party.
The chapter would like to support Toys for Tots this year. If you would like to participat, please bring a toy to donate. Remember do not wrap these.
We will play Dirty Santa so if you plan to participate in this bring a wrapped ($20) gift. We may have some of the Rome people participating in this with us. Rome will continue their tradition of bringing wrapped gifts/gags which are than auctioned to the highest bidder, as a fund raiser for the chapter. If any of our members would like to participate in the auction, bring a gift/gag wrapped and the money raised from our gifts will go to our chapter. So we hope that you decide to participate and bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots, a wrapped gift for Dirty Santa, and one or more gifts/gags for the auction. Everyone is invited whether you decide to participate or not.
This year will be a little different for us, both clubs are paying for the meats, but everyone is encouraged to bring a covered dish of your choice. So bring your favorite appetizer, dessert, casserole, salad, or whatever and join us for a fun evening. We do not need to buy too much meat, so please reply to this email with the number, who will be accompanying you. Please bring spouses and friends. Casual or Christmas casual; the Myers have purchased two new heaters for the hangar, but come prepared for December weather.
